at our Beach Party!

On July 28th, we celebrated you, our wonderful practice members! Thanks to everyone who came out to enjoy our delicious Hawaiian-inspired refreshments, beach music and decor, free chair massages, free wellness chiropractic adjustments, free gifts for anyone dressed
in beach attire, and great prizes!

Winter Wellness Day a Great Success!

On January 30th, The Family Wellness Center hosted our second annual Winter Wellness Day--a great tradition to benefit a local charity. This year's recipients were the Battered Women's Shelter of the Greater Harrisburg YWCA, the Women's Shelter for Transitional Housing, and the Veterans Homeless Shelter. Thanks to the generosity of our clients, patients, and friends, we raised $1,070. In addition, we hosted our first-ever silent auction and raised $630 for Doctors without Borders to benefit their relief efforts in Haiti.

We had great organic food (click here for some of our favorite recipes), fantastic prizes, and amazing amounts of information to share. Local businesses donated thousands in prizes, and our awesome team of clinicians volunteered their time and talents to offer 8 educational workshops to take the chill out of the winter blahs! We were able to give back to our community, and we hope this annual event will continue to grow and prosper for years to come. Thanks to everyone who participated!

 

We had so much fun at our Halloween Party!

From princesses and dragons to gypsies and pirates, your costumes were fantastic! We were thrilled to have so many of you celebrate the day with us. It is you, our practice members, that help make our events a success, and we look forward to celebrating the health-and-wellness way for many years to come.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thank you so much for making our first annual Winter Wellness Day such a great success!   

It was wonderful to spend a cold, wintry day with such a warm and enthusiastic group of new and long time friends.  We had a tremendous turnout with over 65 people participating in our event.  The fun, informative workshops, good food and great prizes kept the energy flowing throughout the day.

We are very happy to report that we raised $700 for CONTACT Helpline!

If you and your friends are looking for another great event to attend, CONTACT will be hosting their Annual Art Auction on March 21, 2009.  In addition to the great art, they will have a buffet meal and the best silent auction in town.   For more info call Lori at 652-4987 or visit www.contacthelpline.org.

Hurricane Healing A BIG Success!

A heart felt thank you to all the friends of The Family Wellness Center and LeVan Family Chiropractic who made Hurricane Healing Day such an awesome success! Health Care Practitioners, businesses, musicians, restaurants, volunteers and  participants all contributed to the great success of this event. 

Through our community’s generous  support we raised $3345.00 at the fundraiser on October 1, 2005, which has been matched for a total contribution of $6690.00 and donated to the American Red Cross to benefit Hurricane Relief Efforts!           

“The event was a fantastic opportunity for our community to help others in great need and to help themselves to a Day of Healing and Wellness.

Participants received chiropractic adjustments, massage therapy, yoga classes, stress reduction coaching, nutritional counseling, naturopathic consultations, reiki treatments and wellness seminars.  We all enjoyed great gourmet food, kid’s activities, and live musical entertainment. Massage therapist, Sandy Pugh, donated over 50 hours of therapeutic massage by selling gift certificates to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims at the event, to be utilized by recipients over the next twelve months.

“Hurricane Healing Day was truly a win-win situation in which everyone who participated got to receive a wonderful service for themselves and yet leave with the satisfaction of knowing that our neighbors in the Gulf-coast will benefit even more from their generosity.”

Our Third Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive “Packed the Pantry” in the Harrisburg Area!

On behalf of the many families who will not go hungry this holiday season, thanks to everyone for donating frozen turkeys, canned goods and a wide assortment of non-perishable food items to our annual food drive. This year we donated over 430 lbs of food to The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.  With your help, we were able to provide holiday meals to many less fortunate families throughout the community. Thank you for all of your generous support and compassion.
